Caner Mutu is a filmmaker and photographer living in Hastings.
His work puts empathy front and centre, using his art as a way to discover the world, and make deep friendships with people around him.
In 2025, Caner began gathering stories of local asylum seekers in his home town, and taking photographs for a project he came to call SEED-TIMES. Sputnik gave him a grant to help turn the project into a full-fledged exhibition. We spoke to Caner about his process, his faith, and the big event itself.
