As a Patron of the arts, you are providing vital support to artists, and showing them that the Church has not forgotten the importance of their work.

Deep calls to Deep

Artists create the emotional soil for spiritual change. Every day, the arts is what gently lifts people’s heads up from the facts and figures of ‘mere survival’ into a place of greater openness: a place where faith can grow. Music, film, dance, theatre, fiction, painting — like the great Creation itself — can interrupt, cut through and awaken people’s dormant questions. As one of our great scriptual poems says: “Deep calls to deep.”

Artists are preparing ground that leads to deeper conversation and spiritual growth, for the good of everyone. But access to an arts career, except for the wealthy, is the worst it’s been in decades.

Be a part of supporting Christians working in the arts, today: by trusting them to do the work that is “theirs to do”, and giving them the means to do it.
